Overview

This course provides a comprehensive overview of cemented arthroplasty using the Exeter technique for both the femur and acetabulum. Topics include history & development, clinical results, planning and positioning, cementing technique and exposure. Day two provides an overview of advanced cemented hip arthroplasty techniques including discussion around the use of the Exeter stem in trauma. The course concludes with a complex case discussion which provides a good opportunity to prepare for exams.

Who should attend?

This course is intended for PreSET - SET5 (NZ Trainees only) who are interested in learning more about using the Exeter technique for both the femur and acetabulum.
